CURRENT CONTROL
 This board uses a simple and cheap system of light globes allowing the home plater to control the current (AMPS) in the plating bath. If you can control the current you can plate using a battery charger, a battery, or a fixed 12 volt power supply. Without current control a battery charger will go to max output, and will most likely shut off or burn out. A battery or other uncontrolled power supply will produce far too much current and will result in burnt rough plating. The results if any, will be very poor. Jane Kits can supply all the parts needed for you to build up one of these boards, along with instructions and photos to assist you in assembling the board. This is a very economical way of achieving more power to allow you to plate larger items. Power units built to do the same thing are very expensive. |
